At 11:00 , at Plaza del Pan, Mrs. Mayor, Tita Garcia Elez, will read the Proclamation of Leño Florido and will be announced the jury decision of the XXI Ciudad de Talavera Awards.

Finished reading the proclamation, A.VV. St. Jerome will make the burning of Judas and wine and pastas will be tasted accompanied by the best local and regional folklore. The Proclamation of Leño Florido will also arrive in these neighborhoods of the city in the following places and times:

Friday, april 14

“La Mondilla"

From 10:00 a.m., at the Prado Gardens and the Plaza de Toros, more than 2,700 students from 26 schools in the city and the region will participate in this edition of the Mondas children’s procession.

It will be a recreation of the Great Courtship, where there will be no shortage of folk groups, regional costumes, mayors and the traditional cart of Mondas. Limited access by capacity control.

At 19:30 , on the stage of the Municipal House, Local and Regional Folklore Exhibition, by the Folklore Association ‘Aires’ de Calera y Chozas, The Group of Choirs and Dances ‘Ntra. Ms. de la Antigua’ de los Navalmorales and the Cultural Folkloric Association of Talavera la Nueva.

At 21:00 , on the stage of the Municipal House, Prégon de Mondas in charge of the Federation of Neighbourhood Associations “Vegas del Tajo”, Accompanied by the Talavera Music Band. At the end, fire bulls to the Alameda Park and as a culmination a fantastic pyromusical show.

Then, on the esplanade of the Plaza de la Comarca, distribution of crumbs and wine in collaboration with the Associations of Neighbors of the city and burning of the bonfire.

At 22:30 p.m., on the stage of the Municipal House, continuation of the exhibition of Local and Regional Folklore, by the Pizarro Group of the Extremadura Center of Talavera, The Cultural Association ‘Emilio Moran’ and La Parranda Castellana.

Saturday, april 15

VIII Meeting of Giants and Bigheads

12:00 a.m. at Plaza del Pan, VIII Meeting of Giants and Bigheads of Mondas.
They will walk through the streets of the center,
ending at the Basílica del Prado around 14:00 p.m..

From 12:30 a.m., the Art and Son round, the Charanga Los Trotamusicos and the Ron-Limon Charanga will perform musical atmosphere in different streets of the city.

Great Procession of the Mondas 2023

At 17:00 p.m., the Great Courtship of Mondas 2023 starts, with the following tour:
